Plant Therapy Magnolia Flower Essential Oil

Magnolia is a rare and unique essential oil that has long been used in traditional Chinese Medicine. Magnolia blossoms are typically harvested at night when their fragrance is most potent. The Magnolia tree has broad green leaves and large white flowers with spear-shaped petals that exude an alluring scent. In South Asia, the scent of magnolia flowers is associated with renewal, growth, and new beginnings.

Magnolia Flower Essential Oil is most notable for its soothing and calming effects thanks to its high linalool content. Take in its sweet, fruity, and exotic aroma to help you relax and unwind while also uplifting your emotions. When diffused, it can help ease worries and tensions. Dilute into a carrier oil and apply topically to help reduce minor scars and abrasions, as well as increase circulation. Magnolia Flower also helps alleviate congestion and any discomfort caused by menstrual cycles.

Directions

Diffuse or use in an aromatherapy locket. For topical applications, dilute to 1% in your favourite carrier oil, body cream, or lotion.

For a relaxing bath blend, combine 1 drop Magnolia Flower, 1 drop Sweet Orange, and 2 drops Himalayan Cedarwood, with 1 tablespoon of body wash and add to running bath water.

For menstrual cramps, blend 1-2 drops of Magnolia Flower, 3 drops Copaiba Oleoresin, and 3 drops Sweet Marjoram into 1 tablespoon of carrier oil or lotion and apply to lower abdomen in a circular motion.
